The automobile market is expected to set a new record in sales this year with VAMA members and TC Motors selling an average nearly 32,000 cars each month in January-September.
The number of imported completely built-up units in July increased by 25
per cent compared with June, touching 10,839 units, according to
statistics of the General Department of Customs.
Automobiles which are priced higher in Viet Nam than in regional
countries is the reason for the sluggish development of the automobile
industry, experts say.
China took the lead in exporting completely built units (CBUs) to Viet
Nam in the first quarter of this year, according to the Viet Nam General
Department of Custom.
